Cap Sante International's STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft
course covers all aspects of survival in accordance with the newest
LSA regulations laid down by IMO, United States Coast Guard and
Transport Canada. The underway training takes place aboard a
contemporary, certified 50-person motor-enclosed lifeboat. The
course is geared toward cruise ship personnel who are accustomed
to partially-enclosed lifeboats and tenders, commercial ship mariners
who mostly see motor-enclosed lifeboats and offshore workers who
commonly use free-fall lifeboats. The course also includes instruction
on: GMDSS, EPIRB, STCW and emergency stations, abandon ship
(emergency evacuation), boat work under oars, seamanship under sail,
water survival skills, launching appliances, SOLAS regulation, life
rafts, ancillary equipment, life saving signals, and first aid.
It is the mission of Cap Sante International Division of Training to provide comprehensive training and educational programs for all maritime personnel in order to create and maintain a competent and professional
maritime workforce needed to support and accomplish the mission of
the US & Canadian merchant marine fleets. Cap Sante International is
internationally recognized as a STCW-compliant training organization
